Jean is clearly another of those long-time members who came straight from cradle to chorus... How could it have been more than 30 years? Those of us who are relative new-comers probably have no idea how many things she's done for the chorus over those years. It suffices to say that she has served in many capacities, including multiple terms as President.
When she's not singing those high tenor notes, Jean enjoys flower gardening and taking walks with her husband and their unusually intelligent and entertaining dog, Monty. She also enjoys spending time with her two sons and 4 grandchildren.
Jean likes to eat snow crab legs and she likes the color royal purple - hmmm....
We're all grateful that the Morehead Chapter of Sweet Adelines gave a gift to the Child Development Center Jean founded many years ago in Mt. Sterling, because that is how she got involved with the chorus. In addition to this worthy endeavor, Jean also operated a successful physical therapy practice for many years. Her clients surely loved her as much as we do!
When asked about her favorite aspect of chorus life, she says it's "the companionship of a fabulously eclectic group of women." Her favorite songs are "I Only Have Eyes for You," and "Any Man of Mine." That's a pretty eclectic pair of favorites!
