Q. How much did this cost?
A. The total cost for the chorus was $0.00 It cost me about a week plus possibly a new gray hair : )
Q. How is that possible?
A. This is a website I already had that was not in use. I reconfigured it to suit the needs of the chorus. As for the hair, I'm not really sure. I think mineral status is involved...
Q. How long do we get to keep it?
A. This is a very unusual situation because I got a really good ground-floor deal a few years ago namely a few free websites for life. This is one of them. Eventually I will want it back. At that point, it can be preserved and relocated which will result in a normal monthly hosting charge from that point on - just as the chorus has paid in the past.
Q. What is this blog for and who will write it?
A. This blog is for us to share ideas, life events, make announcements, whatever! It may be that we can ultimately share it with Regional - they have asked all choruses to do so. Anyone is welcome to write a blog post. Just email it to me and I'll get it right up there. There is no "right" length for a blog post - as long as it's fairly positive, helpful, or interesting anything goes.
Q. I like to take pictures when the chorus goes places. Do you want to use some of them for the site?
A. Yes, but they also go great on our facebook page and it is even more important to add fresh material there than on the website. When I want to add stuff to the website, I can get it from the facebook page so that is really the best way to get photos and videos to me. You can post photos and videos on the facebook page anytime you want to, and it helps the chorus a lot! I would love for us to take and post pictures on facebook every time we go anywhere together. It will help our social media recruiting campaign.
Q. I saw this great video I'd like to see added to the fun page, what should I do?
A. Send it to me and I'll add it in. It's pretty easy.
Q. I don't like my picture or something you wrote about me! And where did you even find that?
A. Please regard all personal content as sample content for now. If you'd like me to replace your picture or the wording in your bio, send me what you'd like to replace it with and I'll take care of it happily. Pretty much all of these pictures came from facebook - and thanks for all those photos - they made this job do-able!.
Q. I just don't like it. What should I do?
A. I am always open to suggestions - after all, this is OUR website!
